Key figures of SPACE 2017

SPACE 2017: a dynamic expo benefitting the livestock industry

Despite numerous difficulties in the livestock and agricultural sector in general, SPACE is each year positioned, and this since 30 years, as an unmissable event for all breeders and suppliers of animal exploitations. Thus, the Show offers them the possibility to observe a huge sample of services, equipments, new for the majority of them, with the purpose of increasing farms' competitivity. This is why, without a doubt, 89% of the exhibitors reckon that the SPACE allow to establish useful commercial contacts.

Our exposition will again provide the opportunity for discussion, debate and reflection on the challenges ahead for the livestock sector.

Professionals attending 'Planet Livestock'

For this 31st edition, the SPACE can count on an increasing number of exhibitors compared to the previous year. 1 450 exhibitors are expected, which testify of the consistent and increasing interest of exhibitors given to the Show.

The progression of the number of international exhibitors is also to take into account with 500 international exhibitors expected. As well, 67% of SPACE's exhibitors have an international activity or are projecting to develop one, proof of the international openness proposed by the Show.

Finally, the surface area requested by exhibitors amounts to 60 191m². Overall, demand for space in the indoor halls is nearly 700 m² greater than last year at the same date. Demand for space outdoors is stable compared to 2016.

On the visitors side, the amount of visits can only be measured directly at the Show. Nevertheless, it is reasonable to think that the 100 000 visitors gap will be reached this year again.

15 000 international visitors from 120 countries also are expected at the SPACE which will be the only global event of 2017 for the professionals of animal production. 57% of these visitors were first-time attendees last year, proof of the shows' capacity to freshen its visitors base and to regroup professionals from all around the world.

Thus, delegations from Algeria, Canada, Iran, Russia, Ukraine... are expected at the 31st edition of the Show.

After a strong mobilization of West Africa in 2016, the economical and institutional operators of this zone should be at the Show this year again.

The press also plays an important part with 380 accredited journalists in 2016, including 98 internationals from 33 countries. The international specialized press is a promotional lever to increase the Shows' notoriety in foreign countries.

SPACE, land of debates, discoveries and innovations
Innov'Space will again this year address the strong demand of our visitors who are looking to discover new products and services. In 2016, 50 innovations have been awarded by the panel of experts independent from SPACE organisation. Prize-winners will be revealed in July.

In order to strengthen its status and rejuvenate its identity, the Research and Development Village has been renamed the Espace for the future. This space, still situated in the hall 4, will treat the theme 'robotics for farmers'.
