SPACE 2022 breed in spotlight

This year, the Jersey breed will be one of the two breeds to be honored in 2022 with its National competition! 

On the program: a competition with more than 60 exceptional animals, a farm visit, numerous events and conferences, general information on the breed, the Genomic Elite auction which will include Jersey heifers...

The Jersey breed

The breed from the Isle of Jersey has traveled the world! It is today the 2^nd dairy breed in the world after Holstein in terms of numbers with nearly 870,000 cows tested. The quality of its milk, its feed efficiency, its low environmental impact, its adaptability and its great longevity are the main reasons of the success.

In France, it has been growing exponentially for more than 30 years! It is the only race which sees its numbers progressing on our territory.

European Jersey Forum

The 4^th edition of the National Jersey competition du Concours National Jersiais will be an international event. At this time France Jersey will host the European Jersey Forum and members from the World Jersey Cattle Bureau for their annual study trip with delegations from nearly 20 countries (USA, Canada, South America, Oceania).

NATIONAL COMPETITION

Wednesday 14 September, 1:30 pm - 4:45 pm
64 Jersey cattle will compete in the national competition from more than 10 French regions.

GENOMIC ELITE SALE

Find for sale the best profiles of the Jersey breed with original pedigrees.

The auction website will be accessible from 08 September. From that date, the first cows will be put up for auction. The parade of heifers and the auction finale will take place in the ring on Wednesday at 5:15 pm.
