SPACE: The key expo for the entire animal production sector

SPACE 2019 will take place in 4 months and the first trends suggest a promising new edition.

The livestock farming sector is constantly impacted by global economics and health issues: swine fever, the European politic context, high consumer expectactions …

In such a changing, demanding and sometimes alarming context, it is important for our livestock farmers to have a place to meet, to demonstrate their expertise and their pride in their profession. That's what they find at SPACE.

For the companies and organisations that support them, it is important to develop their markets in France and abroad, introduce new products, demonstrate new solutions and explain how they are promoting responsible farming.

SPACE is the key event that meets the expectations of livestock farmers across all sectors. It is the only event that is able to bring together so many diverse and complementary actors.

Exhibitors have already renewed their confidence in SPACE. As of 13 May, 1,293 businesses have registered, of which 400 international companies from 38 countries. All the halls and the outdoor exhibition space will be fully occupied again this year.

It is difficult to predict in advance the participation of international visitors. Nevertheless, we note that many of them have already requested their badges to take part in the next edition. We will also welcome for the first time official delegations from Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, headed by their respective Ministers.

A full and varied programme: more than 70 conferences and symposium, high value of animal competitions and presentations (des concours et présentations animales de haute valeur génétique (Pie Rouge European Challenge, National Salers Competition, 11 interregional competition...), farm visits renewed, a new sector at SPACE: aquaculture, …

In addition, the Espace for the Future will focus on « New climate practives and technologies ». Many systems tailored to climate-friendly practices, designed to improve animal welfare and the working conditions of farmers will be presented.

We look forward to seeig you from 10 to 13 September, at Rennes exhibition centre, for the 33rd edition of SPACE, a showcase for our changing livestock sector that is firmly focused on the future and global issues, to design the next generation of livestock production.
