Installation of a biogas cogeneration engine on a methanization unit for the injection of biomethane for self-consumption of electricity and heat.
The cogeneration engine automatically regulates its power according to the needs of the unit thanks to a device measuring the electrical consumption.
The engine is connected to the site's biogas boiler and replaces it to meet the heat needs of the methanization process.
The cogeneration engine is preceded by a biogas pre-treatment unit including dehumidification and desulfurization steps. A measuring device allows the communication between the cogeneration engine and the different consumer elements of the site. The cogenerator can thus regulate its power according to the demand. The site remains connected to the electrical network, which allows to complete the electricity supply if necessary or to take over in case of technical operation on the engine.
The heat from the engine is recovered and connected to the hot water network of the installation.
